Champion of Hope Award

This year PADRES established the Champion of Hope Award, which recognizes cancer survivors and family members who personify courage against cancer with strength and hope. This year’s honorees included Grammy-nominated songwriter Denise Rich, who established the G&P Foundation for Cancer Research in memory of her daughter Gabrielle Rich Aouad and has funded $6 million in cancer research grants, as well as Lance Armstrong, seven-time Tour de France champion and founder of the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
